first week of a new beard is always interesting. it doesn't look scruffy enough to look too dirty or messy yet, but it could be confused for laziness or just lack of interest in shaving. then again, alot of people like to keep their beards at this length...

interest has been bubbling and it's been fun seeing/hearing the buzz build about this project. since i run into alot of people on my job, they're already asking, "what's this?!?" as they point to my face w/ one hand and stroke their own chin w/ the other. and then i get to say, "beards for tears!" ... and then the conversation gets interesting.
i'm already enjoying the fact that i get to say something other than 'winter coat' for my purpose of beardness. and it is an especially good reminder to me to be grateful for the clean, fresh water that i do have(FREE! for me)...out of the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower in my little apartment.
