one month down, 6 to go. we've only just begun...
as the beards are coming in, so are the pledges. thank you to all of you who have given and/or pledged so far.
jon and i meet every week for a couple reasons:
- take our weekly photos and post them on beardsfortears.com
- remind ourselves why we're doing all this in the first place. to focus on our goal of raising funds while we raise awareness for the people who would be so grateful to have clean, disease-free drinking water.
if you haven't had a chance to check out Water Wells For Africa's website, please take a minute to see the looks on the faces of those who have been given a gift so precious. so many images of celebration and thankfulness and relief. it's something words just don't do justice to. . .
so 4 weeks of growth is what i refer to as the george michael beard.
1 month of razorless faces; only 6 months until full maturation.
