Sake the Bearded Dragon

our official unofficial mascot is my bearded dragon(lizard) who is named Sake Doh Hiayee. as we grow our beards for the next 7 months, he'll also be growing exponentially in size. He was born on June 1, 2008 and loves to eat his crickets and veggies(he gets all crazy and spazmatic when he knows food is on the way; it's quite entertaining). so in the coming weeks you'll be able to see how much growth he experiences along w/ the hair on our faces.

speaking of beards, we just took our 3rd week pictures(you can see them here: 'beards') and the last few years i've noticed a touch of gray around the edges, but this year it may be a bit more prevalent...which is ok because i intend to have a 'santa beard' by christmas and that way i won't have to color it for my job at the mall.

if you're thinking about joining us in this effort to get a well built, now is a good time to make a pledge. here's a good way to look at it: if you give up only one starbucks($2) a week for the duration of our beard-a-thon, we'll only need 99 other people to join you and - bingo - we got a well! see how to 'make a pledge' or just do a one-time donation here:
